Full Moon
26th October 05:53 BST
Sun at 2˚ 24 ' Scorpio
Moon at 2˚ 24 ' Taurus
The nights are really starting to draw in and soon for those of us
who work away from home, we will be getting up in the dark and returning
home in the dark. One of the benefits of this is that you get the chance
to see the most beautiful Sunrises. The colours are spectacular, the
red, yellows, pinks and oranges reflect the colours that surround us
in nature. Especially the stag horn, which has brilliant red leaves
at this time of year.
We are almost at Samhain, which is half way between the autumn equinox
and the winter solstice and is classed as a power point in time, reflecting
nature’s responses to the energy changes that came into motion at the
autumn equinox. This is an important time of year, the Earth needs
a rest, so it can be receptive and give new life to the seeds which
are planted in its depths. The ancient people believed this is a time
when the veils are thin between the physical and spiritual worlds,
and can lead to a higher state of consciousness. All over the world
people will be connecting with loved ones who have gone before them.
The chart of the full Moon has Libra rising with the Sun in Scorpio
in the 1st opposite the Moon in Taurus in the 7th. Mercury in Libra
in the 1st is still retrograde and is conjunct the Sun and opposite
the Moon. The Sun is applying to a sextile with Saturn while the Moon
is applying to a trine with Saturn. The Sun is involved in a grand
water trine with Mars in Cancer in the 9th and the Moon’s Node is in
Pisces in the 5th. Mercury and Venus are in mutual reception, which
places an emphasis on these two planets
Venus the chart ruler is in Virgo in the 11th separating from a conjunction
with Saturn also in Virgo in the 11th. Venus is involved in a T-square
with Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 3rd and Uranus in Pisces in the
5th.
Issues could come up around communication, money and relationships
values. This is a good time of letting go and transforming old habits.
The Sun in Scorpio can be very secretive and often learns the lesson
of control, manipulation and who has the power, having often found
themselves in a powerless position. I can hear a lot of you say what
about that famous Scorpio sting. Well Scorpions are often misunderstood
and have a very compassionate side to them. They have a very intense
nature and can have an ability to go where others fear to tread. Scorpio
is aware of other people’s values and joint resources while Taurus
is aware of its own values. Both are fixed signs and can be very stubborn,
not knowing when its time for a change.
Venus is in an exact opposition to Uranus giving the feeling of wanting
to have freedom especially in relationships and can have the tendency
to be quite extreme and throw the baby out with the bath water. Venus
in Virgo can be quite critical and seeks perfection, thinking the grass
is greener on the other side of the fence. Virgo has a very creative
side to it and really has an eye for detail. Remember if things start
to feel pressurized do something different. Something you enjoy doing,
like going to the movies, painting a picture or treat yourself to something
unusual. I get the feeling that there are lots of changes going on
collectively and lots of people are in life changing processes. Feeling
okay one minute and not the next and l have heard a lot of people saying
that their energy is very low. So be gentle with yourselves, relax
and remember to take time out for yourself.
Don’t forget Mercury is still retrograde and it feels like going over
old ground especially where communications are concerned.
I leave you with a quote.
‘I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and stand
on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full Moon,
‘Yes!’ - The invitation Oriah mountain Dreamer.
Blessings of the full Moon to you all Linda Day
